Treasures From a Century of Collecting

‘Australian War Memorial – Treasures From a Century of Collecting’ by Nola Anderson is a 624 page book on the comprehensive history of the Australian War Memorial, containing many of the more obscure stories, objects, photographs and paintings from their remarkable collection of war memorabilia. The design needed to be accessible and work seamlessly across a huge variety of material. We commissioned a series of new photography which gave a consistent visual link through all of the documented periods and allowed us to include some of the larger objects that hadn’t yet been photographed in a contemporary context. This was an incredibly important project because it portrays Australia’s historical involvement in all significant conflicts over the last century to an international audience.
